Using this thoroughly explained, detailed lesson, you will see how to create very practical laptop presentation in flash. You can use this presentation as flash banner, for flash header, when you need to show someone a picture or some other presentation. You don't have to use action script code to make this lesson.



Step 1

First of all, download a picture, which we will use for this lesson.

Step 2

Create a new flash document. Press Ctrl+J key on the keyboard (Document Properties) and set the width of your document to 300 pixels and the height to 200 pixels. Select white color as background color. Set your Flash movie's frame rate to 28 and click ok.



Step 3

Choose now, file > Import > Import to stage (Shortcut key: Ctrl+R) and import a picture that you just saved in step 1 into a flash stage.

Step 4

While the picture is still selected, go to the Align Panel (Ctrl+K) and do the following:

While the picture is still selected, press F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert this picture into a Movie Clip Symbol.



Step 6

Click now on frame 15 and press F6 key.

Step 7

Go back now on the first frame, take the Selection Tool (V) and click once on the picture to select it. Then, go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage and select Filters tab from the left side. Click after that on the plus icon and select the Blur filter. Make the adjustments as follows:

1. Blur X and Y : 82
2. Quality : Low



Step 8

Select now Properties tab from the left side. Then, On the right, you will see the Color menu. Select Alpha in it and put it down to 50%.



Step 9

Go back now again on the first frame, and go again to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. Then, choose the following options:

Right-click anywhere on the gray area between frame 1 and 15 on the timeline and choose Create Motion Tween from the menu that appears.



Step 11

Click now on frame 200 and press F5 key.

Step 12

Double click now with the Selection Tool (V) on layer 1 to rename its name into a laptop. After that, create a new layer above the layer laptop and name it text. Click now on frame 30 of layer text and press F6 key.

Step 13

Download now, text for laptop and Import it into a Flash stage, like we have done for step 3.

Step 14

Place after that, text into a laptop screen. See the picture below.



Step 15

While the text is still selected, press F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert this text into a Movie Clip Symbol.



Step 16

Double-click now on the movie clip (text) on stage with the Selection tool(V).You should now be inside the Movie Clip.



Step 17

Click now on frame 60 and press F5 key.

Step 18

Create now a new layer above the layer 1 (layer 2).

Step 19

Click now on frame 2 of layer 2 and press F6 key. While you're still on frame 2, take the Brush Tool (B), for brush color choose any color and paint just a little text. See the picture below.



Step 20

Press now F6 key and paint a little more text. See the picture below!



Repeat this process until you don't paint the whole text! See the picture below!



Step 21

Select layer 2 and convert it to a mask by right-clicking on the layer 2 and selecting Mask. See the picture below.



Step 22

Go back on the main scene (Scene 1) and test your movie!
